We're sorry to see you go. Canceling your CareSwaps Platform Access Subscription is simple, there is no cancellation fee, and you will retain access through the end of your current billing period. This page also provides the Colorado-required disclosures for automatically renewing subscriptions.

How to Cancel

You can cancel in any of the three ways below. Colorado law requires that cancellation be at least as easy as the original enrollment — we honor that standard.

Colorado Automatic Renewal Disclosure

This section satisfies the disclosure requirements of the Colorado Automatic Renewal Act, C.R.S. §6-1-732.

Colorado C.R.S. §6-1-732 requires a pre-renewal reminder notice for subscriptions with an initial term of twelve (12) months or longer. CareSwaps offers only a one-month term, so the statutory reminder requirement does not technically apply. We nevertheless send an automated email reminder seven (7) days before every renewal charge that discloses the amount, renewal date, plan name, and a direct one-click cancellation link to your dashboard. We also send a receipt at the time of every renewal.

3. Cancellation Methods — Parity with Enrollment

Colorado law requires that cancellation be available through a mechanism that is at least as easy to use as the enrollment method. Per Colorado SB25-145 (effective 2025), CareSwaps provides one-step online cancellation directly from your CareSwaps dashboard, in addition to cancellation by email and phone (see "How to Cancel" above). A subscriber who enrolled online may cancel online with one click, by email, or by phone without any additional verification step beyond confirming account ownership.

4. Refund Policy

• First seven (7) days: Full refund of the first month's charge if you cancel within 7 days of your initial signup, for any reason. This is CareSwaps' 7-day money-back guarantee.
• After 7 days: No partial-month refund. Your cancellation is effective at the end of the current billing period, and you retain full platform access until that date.
• Duplicate or erroneous charges: Refunded in full within five (5) business days.

5. Consequences of a Violation (C.R.S. §6-1-732(5))

If CareSwaps fails to comply with a material provision of C.R.S. §6-1-732 — for example, by failing to provide a required disclosure or by refusing to honor a timely cancellation request — Colorado law provides that the subscriber is entitled to a refund of all amounts paid for the preceding twelve (12) months as a deceptive trade practice remedy. If you believe CareSwaps has violated the Colorado Automatic Renewal Act, email privacy@careswaps.com and we will review and respond within ten (10) business days. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov.

What Happens After You Cancel

• Access continues through the end of your billing period. You can continue to use the platform until your next scheduled renewal date.
• No further charges. Your payment method will not be billed again after the cancellation date.
• Data export. You may request an export of your personal data within thirty (30) days after cancellation. Email privacy@careswaps.com to request.
• Deletion requests. You may request deletion of your account data under the Colorado Privacy Act and HIPAA. We will honor the request subject to our legal retention obligations (see our Data Retention Schedule).
• HIPAA records retention. PHI is retained for a minimum of six (6) years after subscription end as required by 45 CFR § 164.530(j). Retained PHI remains under full HIPAA security safeguards and is never used for any purpose beyond legal compliance.

Reactivation

If you change your mind, you can resubscribe anytime at the same $299 monthly rate (subject to any pricing changes we have publicly posted at the time you resubscribe). Your previous matching history will remain intact and will be reactivated once your new subscription is confirmed.
